Happy Mother’s Day

I am so thrilled… this afternoon the UPS driver brought a box to the door. Ron began to open it when I saw it was addressed to me!!I opened it and a wonderful gift from our wonderful daughter Ruthie. A Kindle book reader. She doesn’t know it but our friends in Australia were encouraging me to get one just a few days ago. They love theirs but I didn’t know much about one.

Then a friend has had a book published and it is offered on Amazon for your Kindle, for free, for just a few days (it’s been doing very well in sales). The Fence My Father Built by Linda Clare. I registered it and downloaded her book in such speed that even I’m amazed. How fun is this?

My day began with a fantastic mother’s day gift… I heard the little beep on my cell phone about 6:30 a.m. Thinking it could be a problem I quickly grabbed the phone and read a text.. ‘I’m in the green room with Matt now..he is going to speak soon!” Can you imagine both our daughter and our eldest son in Boston MA at the same time.. totally unplanned. She from California with her husband and he on a speaking engagement. “Just happened’ that her husband was in meetings at the same hotel so they could all eat lunch together. Too bad Sam couldn’t be there too.

It was a surprise to each of them and only when I heard from Ruthie where she was did I make of call to each.. I didn’t know what happened until later today. My heart is warmed thinking of my kids together. Isn’t that a mom’s dream? Sure makes me happy. We had lunch with son Sam the day before so my cup is full.

May you have a fine Mother’s day with special love from all you know. AND give love to who you want to bless. Gifts are not necessary but love is.
