31 Near Shrek’s Land
Fond du lac… remember the kingdom of du lac in Shrek?? Since we came around Lake Winnebago I thought I should look up what Fond du lac means. I figured if a town had that name it must mean something. I asked around and most thought it was the name of another Indian Chief, like Winnebago and Oshgosh and Tomah but lo and behold… it IS French for ‘foot of the lake.’ Now doesn’t it sound like that?
Today we had a delightful visit with Jeanette and Jim.
