Amazing how flat but green Texas and Oklahoma are compared to the beautiful red desert of Arizona and New Mexico. The hills are gone but the wide open spaces are all around us.
We visited the Oklahoma Memorial today. A devastating bombing where so many were killed in 1995. We highly recommend it as an emotional educational experience. http://www.oklahomacitynationalmemorial.org We are with friends here and looking forward to visiting with others we haven’t seen in years.
I’m having such trouble with our laptop that I’ve not been able to post as I would like. If I don’t get anything written quickly then I can’t remember what happened!
We’re able to take a dip in their pool and slowly cook all day in the 105 degree temps. Ron is lovin’ it. I’m enjoying the warm weather but the heat is a bit overwhelming. We were in the pool at midnight and will be in again in just a few minutes to cool off and warm up all at the same time. The house is air conditioned so going to bed after a nice swim is fantastic.
