Happy New Year

Seems we need a Happier New Year. With all that’s going on in our world we need to be praying more than ever. Our family time over the holidays was wonderful. We are blessed. How we can bless others is something we always ask ourselves.

Two days before Christmas with the unusual snow fall here in Portland (18 inches during the week)we heard there was an urgent need for blankets for the homeless. I made a few calls around and took down a huge pile of blankets given to us by neighbors and friends. We had our youngest grandkids with us which was a good opportunity to show the ‘other side of life’. The blankets were well recieved with big smiles. That warmed us inside.

We have much to be thankful for… God bless you with a Happier New Year

  1. Happy New Year Ron & Peggy! I hope your hip replacement is doing well. I had knee replacement in 2000 so I understand.
I feel so blessed to even see 2009 and so looking forward to the future. I have cancer but I think they got it all and I start radiation therapy next week just in case.
Peggy, when you wrote about Thanksgivings day at Sam’s and how your pain medication was working and the headaches, I understood completely. I have good days, wonderful days and days when I cry at a drop of a hat.
    Life is good
    Nancy
