Time for a walk outside
Well, it’s day 7. The sun is shining and I so want to go outside and grab some vitamin D. It was nice to go out and see how autumn has taken the leaves off most trees and plants (note the bare grape arbor overhead). It sure feels good to be up and out again.
The day didn’t start out so well. I went off Ultram at 1 p.m. as I had such a head ache and couldn’t find the cause. Seems that may have been it however, sure am not ready for more hip pain. For some reason I woke up at 3 a.m. and tossed until 4 then had to get up. I didn’t want to wake Ron so I slipped out and headed for ‘my corner of the world’, in the living room. After fixing a cup of campomille tea and refiling my water bottle (a half hour chore) I sunk into the big chair, kicked it back as far as it would go and drifted off to sleep about 6.
At 8 I woke up so rested and in such a better mood. I had found while tossing earlier that I prayed for my family, then everyone else and the world… then began to worry so I knew it was time to get up! I thanked God for where I was from where I had been and that things would be better or at least different in the day light.
I went on down the hall at 8:30 and woke up ‘the man’. He was startled as he didn’t realize I was gone. Bless his heart. He worked a long day yesterday not getting home on the Max train until 7 p.m. It’s cold now in Portland so my tired and cold lover came home ready for bear! No he didn’t eat a bear but had gotten some steak the day before (when the nurses told me to eat more protein) and flipped on the bbq which was the fastest way to warm and fill. What a sweetheart. My appetite is way down so I’m taking that as a good sign.
Tomorrow is the big day of thankfulness to our God to others who we love besides life itself and our country.

Glad to see the recovery is going well. You’ll be better than before in no time at all. Wishing you and your family the best of Thanksgivings. I’m looking forward to seeing the holiday episode on LPBW!
