Happy Thanksgiving Week End

Hoping you enjoyed a good and loving Thanksgiving day and the remainder of this week end. We were blessed by spending the day at our son Sam’s with his beautiful family and my brother and his wife and their daughter Nicole and her young family. What a delicious spread of all the traditional scrumpious fare. Cheryl is a marvelous chef and with the help of her mom Pat they outdid themselves.

After dinner we enjoyed a rousting game of Trivial Pursuit with all the adults which lasted more than an hour, maybe two. Sure did divert my mind from my own troubles. The day didn’t begin very well, I didn’t sleep well and had a headache that couldn’t be stopped. Seems my reaction to pain meds is just unbearable. I went from Oxycodon to Ultram and then Darvon but none set well and left me so emotional and agitated that we decided, with advice from doctors, that just extra strength Tylenol would have to do. I still was taking the 10 days of Celebrex but with the continued headache and other symptoms I decided that cutting it one day short wouldn’t hurt anything.

An hour before we left I had a meltdown so Ron led me to bed to take a nap. When I awoke my spirits were lighter and my headache subsiding. Praise the Lord. I quickly dressed with Ron’s help and off we went. A touch down by phone with Matt’s family and Ruthie’s completed our day of giving thanks for all of God’s blessings.
