We’re having a great time in California. Last week end we were enjoying ourselves in
Willits where I was the guest speaker (Ron shared his story as well). The
Women’s Advance Ministries has been having an ‘Advance’ rather than a retreat for the past 12 years. With a message of Hope During Hopeless Times tied in with scriptures fitting our situations God encouraged our hearts and granted peace and hope. The ladies there were so very kind and fun to be with. God was glorified.
We’ve been in
Grass Valley,
Sacramento and
Benecia these past few days loving friends and family. Our dear Nguyen’s are planning on retiring from their clock repair and antique store in Benecia and gifted us with a beautiful Mission style grandfather clock. If you are in the market for a beautiful wall or standing clock do check out their retirement sale. 513 1ST ST BENICIA, CA 707-745-2643
We’ll be off to celebrate Valentine’s Day next week end with the whole Nguyen family. Such fond memories of them living with us after they escaped in a
fishing vessel in 1975 with their six children and came to live with us in San Bruno, Ca. One big, happy family with our four kids getting an education and learning how to reach out to those who have fallen on difficult times. The months they lived with us will never be forgotten.

Now that our Christmas letters and photos are sent out we are getting ready for our trip to California in a week. If you are on our email list I’ll be sending that out tomorrow.
Since we’ve been home from Thailand (go to the bottom of this page and read the 21 blog entries if you want) we’ve had a great time with our kids and grandkids. Sam’s birthday, g nephew Lucien’s b’day as well as visiting with kids. Our favorite thing to do. What grandma doesn’t like fixing dinner for her grand kids!! (not a question) They are so sweet and appreciative… lots of ‘thank you Huny’s.
We had great success with spreading the word about
Remember Nhu with its work done helping young girls stay out of the sex trade in South East Asia. It is such an energizing pleasure to tell others and have them respond as many have. So many have responded to the hand woven bags and all are gone but a new batch is coming in a few days. It is helping both the house parents and the girls to earn some money and share their skill.
We will be going south into California for a women’s Advance. I’ll be speaking. It will be in Willets the last week end of January. We’ll stay around visiting Ruthie and Rich as well as other family and friends in northern Cal before ending February with a second
Advance in Kelseyville. If you are in the North Bay area please do sign up and come. We’d love to say hello. I’m sure you will enjoy the time. It’s Friday night and most of Saturday each week end.
